Team India: Get ready for the welcome, because Team India, which won the T20 World Cup 2024 title, is coming back soon. The Men in Blue will land directly in Delhi from Barbados. There are reports of Rohit Sena landing at Delhi airport early on Thursday morning. These Beryl storms have hit the West Indies and Barbados, due to which Team India was stuck there, but now the latest report is that all the players along with the support staff will reach home within the next 24 hours.

The final of the T20 World Cup 2024 was held on 29 June. In which India defeated South Africa by 7 runs and won the second title in this tournament after 17 years. It was already decided that the Indian team would fly to India the day after the title match, but due to the Beryl storm, the air service has been stopped. For this reason, Team India’s squad is stuck in Barbados.

Champions coming from ‘Cricket 24 World Champion’

The latest report states that BCCI has sent an Air India flight to bring Team India, which has been named ‘Cricket 24 World Champion’. After reaching Delhi, all the players of Team India will be honored, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will honor them. But no official details have been revealed about this program so far.

Title after 17 years, retirement of three legends

Team India won its first T20 World Cup title 17 years ago in 2007. At that time Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the captain of the team, after which India participated in 7 seasons, but remained empty handed. This time it was the 9th season, in which Rohit Sharma repeated history and won the title for India after 17 years. After Team India became the champion, captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their retirement from this format, then Ravindra Jadeja also said goodbye to the T20 format.
