    India Gate is a major monument located in the city of Delhi. It is a symbol of the bravery of the Indian freedom struggle and the sacrifice of the Indian military is remembered here. The construction of India Gate started in 1931 and was completed in 1933. It was built in memory of the soldiers of the Indian Army in the last years of the British Empire. Its height is about 42 meters. The names of prominent military heroes of the Indian freedom struggle are written on it. Below this, near the Rajpath, there is a tribute stupa, which is called “Amar Jawan Jyoti”. It keeps burning in the memory of the heroes.

    Raj Ghat

    Rajghat is an important monument located in the city of Delhi which is built to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. This is a site where the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were kept after his last cremation. Rajghat is situated on the banks of Yamuna river. A tribute ceremony is held here every year on 2 October on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
