Action has started against Bollywood stars who got cash by dancing in the wedding of mega thug Saurabh Chandrakar. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted raids targeting the managers of some celebrities in Delhi and Mumbai. Information about getting cash worth Rs 2.5 crore has come to light. Saurabh Chandrakar, wanted under the Money Laundering Act, earned thousands of crores of rupees through betting Mahadev app and spent Rs 200 crores on his wedding in Dubai.

Chandrakar had spent money like water in the wedding held in Dubai in February 2023. Chandrakar, a resident of Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, had called his relatives to Dubai by private jets to attend the wedding. Many big Bollywood actors also came to perform at the wedding. According to ED sources, these artists were paid in cash through Hawala operators.

Now Bollywood actors have also come under the target of the central agency which is investigating the money laundering of more than Rs 5 thousand crore by Saurabh Chandrakar. According to a report in India Today, after Rs 2.5 crore was seized in the raid, the statements of the managers of these celebrities have also been recorded. Most of the managers have revealed that they received payment in cash from the event companies through operators. Bollywood celebrities who attended the wedding may soon be called for questioning.

ED has also raided the owner of Mahadev App, his family, business partner and the travel agency handling ticketing work for the celebrities who promote it. ED says that Chandrakar and Uppal, who earned illegal money from betting Mahadev app, are residents of Bhilai, Chhattisgarh and are running business from Dubai. Till now, ED has seized assets worth more than Rs 417 crore in this case.
