32 year old Malkit Singh was murdered in Chhattisgarh. Police have arrested five people in the murder case. This incident happened in Khursipar police station area of Durg district. According to the information, Malkit Singh was watching the film with his friend Om Kumar. Then both of them were attacked by Tarun Nishad, Shubham Lahere alias Ballu, Tavassur, Faisal and another accused.
Police said that Malkit and his friend were watching a movie on mobile phone. During this time he was attacked by five people. The motive behind the attack is not yet known. Malkit Singh was seriously injured in this attack which took place at around 7.30 pm. His friend Om Kumar also suffered injuries. After the attack, Malkit was taken to Ramakrishna Hospital where he died during treatment.
A case has been registered against the accused at Khursipar police station. Malkit’s family members claim that the accused attacked them because they raised slogans in support of India. After the murder, the victim’s family and the Sikh community protested at the police station and demanded immediate action against the accused. The protesting people also demanded a compensation of Rs 50 lakh and a government job for one family member.
