After gifting ‘Yashobhoomi’ to the country, PM Narendra Modi addressed the people present there. He said that today, the special day of Vishwakarma Jayanti, is dedicated to traditional artisans and craftsmen. It was because of talking to many Vishwakarma brothers and sisters that he got late for the program. Vishwakarma Yojana is coming as a new ray of hope for the people with hand skills, tools and manual work. With this scheme, today the country has also got the International Exhibition Center Yashobhoomi. The kind of work done here reflects the tenacity and penance of Vishwakarma brothers and sisters. Yashobhoomi is dedicated to every worker of the country.

‘Vishwakarma friends will get recognition’

PM Modi said that Vishwakarma Yojana will play an important role in making India’s local products global. Just as there is a spinal cord in the body, similarly Vishwakarma companions play an important role in social life. It is difficult to imagine everyday life without them. Even during the freeze period, people like water from pots and jugs. The need of the hour is that these comrades should get recognition and support.

‘You will get loan up to Rs 3 lakh without guarantee’

Emphasis has been laid on giving training to all the associates through Vishwakarma Yojana. During the training, every day allowance of Rs 500 will be given by the government to every partner. Rs 15,000 will be given for modern toolkit. The government will also help in branding of goods. In return, the government wants you to buy goods only from shops which are GST registered. These tools should be made in India only. PM Modi said that the government will provide money to start a business without asking for any guarantee. Loan up to Rs 3 lakh will be given without asking for any guarantee and its interest will also be very high. On purchasing new tools, you will get a loan of up to Rs 1 lakh for the first time. After repaying it, a loan of Rs 2 lakh will be given.

‘Vocal for local then global’

PM said that what wonders happen when technology and tradition meet, the whole world has seen this in the G20 Craft Bazaar. The foreign guests who came to participate in the summit were given gifts made by Vishwakarma colleagues. Vocal’s dedication to local is the responsibility of the entire country. First we have to become vocal for local and then we have to make it global. Buying local does not only mean buying Diwali lamps but also includes every small and big thing which has the smell of blood and sweat of the workers.
