In the beginning it felt like heaven after Colombo

However, the afternoon heat bothered us. Despite this, the commitment shown by the boys was commendable. We played only five bowlers so they had to bowl 10 overs. It becomes physically challenging because of the heat, but we have all worked on our fitness and it shows on the field.

Said this to Surya

KL further said- We were put under pressure in between. We started really well with the ball, but the middle overs were difficult because of the heat. We talked about staying committed for 50 overs. I was in a difficult position after keeping for 50 overs. It was difficult for the middle order batsmen in the beginning, but they formed a good partnership with Surya. We kept talking about hitting good cricket shots. After Shubman’s dismissal, it was a bit difficult to dismiss the set batsman. We kept talking about hitting good cricket shots, rotating the strike. We didn’t want to get into trouble, we were always on equal footing so we wanted to take it deeper.
