He was admitted to the Medical College Hospital of Rajnadgaon in an injured condition. He was referred where there was no doctor. The boy's family took him to a private hospital in the city, from there he was referred to Raipur in the name of better treatment. One hand of the child is badly injured.

According to the information received from the police, there is an open firing range of the police in village Tilairwar. Where police often practice firing. On March 17, CRPF's Cobra battalion soldiers, who arrived from the neighboring district Balaghat, practiced firing and left behind empty cartridge cases. Apart from this, other explosive materials were also left behind. After the firing, some children of the village had reached there without empty shells. As soon as Naksh Kumar of the village, who was among the children, picked up the explosive lying there, it exploded in his hand.

A lot of anger was seen among the villagers after the incident. Villagers say that the firing range is near the village, which should be removed. They allege that the police personnel leave behind empty shells and other explosive materials after firing. Such incidents have happened before also. He alleged that even an announcement was not made before the firing. Rajnadgaon Additional Superintendent of Police Rahul Sharma said that further action will be taken after detailed investigation of this matter.
