Share Market Latest News: The stock market has had a weak start on Friday, the last trading day of the week. In early trading, BSE Sensex was down by 157 points at 71,272 points and Nifty was down by 25 points at 21,693 points.
In pre-open trade, BSE Sensex was down by 20 points while Nifty was working below 21700. In the early trading of the stock market, weakness was being recorded in Nifty Midcap 100, BSE Small Cap, Nifty IT and Nifty Bank.
Sectoral indices Nifty Pharma and Nifty FMCG were registering gains in Friday’s trading. Talking about the stocks which showed growth in early trade, on Friday, shares of Britannia, Tata Consumer, Cipla, RIL, Power Grid, Adani Ports and Grasim Industries were registering gains.
Shares showing weakness include shares of Mahindra & Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, Hindalco, BPCL, Maruti Suzuki, HDFC Life and Coal India.
