New Delhi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah filed his nomination today. In an interview after filing nomination, he said about Naxalism in Chhattisgarh that Modi government has repeatedly asked Naxalites to leave the path of violence. Shah said, the BJP government in Chhattisgarh has done a lot of work to fight Naxalism in 90 days. We will eliminate Maoism from India. He claimed that no action was taken against Naxalites during the Congress rule in Chhattisgarh. Shah also said that the government will make its best efforts to eliminate Naxalism from the country. Along with this, he said that his party and the BJP government will neither remove reservation nor remove the word secular from the Constitution. He said that if BJP had to change the Constitution, it has the majority for the last 10 years, it could have done so at any time in the last 10 years, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government used the majority to remove Article 370, bring the Citizenship Amendment Act, Has done in ending triple talaq.

There is no need to remove the word secular

On the allegations of removing the word secular from the Constitution, he said, there is no need for us to remove the word secular. BJP’s biggest insistence is to make this country secular, that is why we are bringing Uniform Civil Code (UCC). Accusing the Congress, the Union Minister said, they (Congress) want to run the country in the name of Sharia, hence they need to become secular, not us. Shah said that we are saying that the constitution of this country should be based on religion.

BJP will neither remove reservation nor allow it to be removed

Shah vented out his anger on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said that the way he has been saying that BJP will remove reservation, I want to make it clear that BJP will neither remove reservation nor allow it to be removed. He said that Congress has taken many wrong decisions by using majority and if it thinks of doing so in future also, BJP will not allow it to do so.

    No change in BJP’s commitments

He said that there has been no change in the commitments of BJP. Underlining this, he said that the Modi government implemented the Women’s Reservation Act and the Citizenship Amendment Act. He said that the opposition Congress has no issue to target the BJP-led government.
