    IPL Mini Auction 2024: In the players auction held at Coca Cola Arena in Dubai for the 17th season of IPL, Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc has been bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 24.75 crore. With this he became the most expensive player in IPL history. Earlier, bidding was done on capped all-rounders in the second set of auction, in which Australian captain Pat Cummins was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 20 crore 50 lakh. Chennai, Mumbai and Bengaluru had a bidding war for Cummins.

    Let us tell you that today in this auction, franchises are showering money on Australian players. Mumbai and Delhi initially bid on Starc with a base price of Rs 2 crore. Later Kolkata and Gujarat joined this race. But in the end, Kolkata Knight Riders bought him for Rs 24.75 crore, with this he became the most expensive player in IPL history, leaving behind Pat Cummins.

    Starc will get Rs 7.3 lakh for every ball thrown

    How much money rains in the Indian Premier League (IPL) can be estimated from just one figure that Mitchell Starc has been bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 24.75 crore. Every team will play 14 matches in this season. In such a situation, if Starc bowls in all 14 matches and bowls 4 overs in each match, then he will bowl 336 balls in the entire season. According to this, the cost of every ball thrown by Starc will be Rs 7 lakh 36 thousand 607.

    Apart from this, West Indies T-20 captain Rovman Powell was sold for Rs 7.40 crore, he was bought by Rajasthan Royals. Australia’s Travis Head was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 6.80 crore.
