Sports Desk. Before the 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), another bad news has emerged for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Recently, after mentor Gautam Gambhir left LSG, now another coaching staff has left the team. The franchise itself informed through social media that LSG batting coach Vijay Dahiya is no longer a part of the team. Dahiya was associated with LSG, which made its IPL debut two years ago, since its inception. The 17th season of IPL is expected to start in the last week of May.

Let us tell you that, a few days before the IPL mini auction held in Dubai on 19th December, Gambhir had severed his ties with LSG. After this the former Indian player joined his old franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Gambhir has made KKR champion twice under his captaincy and the team owners will once again have expectations from him. But, the problems of LSG are not showing signs of decreasing. With the departure of first Gambhir and now Dahiya, the franchise will have to choose a fresh coaching staff. It will be interesting to see whether the new coaching staff will be able to adjust with the players of the team in such a short time or not.

It is noteworthy that with the departure of Dahiya, the atmosphere of discussions in the cricket world has also intensified. According to fans, after Gambhir’s departure, Dahiya’s departure seemed already certain. The LSG team, captained by KL Rahul, had handed over the post to Justin Langer after head coach Andy Flower left for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Apart from this, the franchise has also included Sridharan Sriram in the team. It is known that, when Langer was the head coach of Australia, Sridharan was present with him as his spin bowling consultant.
