Today, on the occasion of International Olympic Day, the closing ceremony of the competition of senior and junior players of the Girls Football Academy was organized at Swami Vivekananda Stadium in Kota, the capital. During this, the chief guest of the program, Chhattisgarh’s Forest and Climate Change, Cooperative Minister Kedar Kashyap awarded the winner and runner-up teams.

During this, Minister Kedar Kashyap said that with the aim of providing better facilities to girls in the field of sports, a 25-seater residential girls football academy, a 25-seater residential hockey academy and a 20-seater girls athletic academy will soon be opened in Raipur. Sports Director Tanuja Salam, while giving the welcome address, said that this was the first event of the International Olympic Team successfully organized by the Sports Department, this program was organized with the aim of encouraging all the players of Girls Football Academy, Hockey Academy, Archery Academy, Athletic Academy and Daily Regular Training located in Raipur and celebrating their achievements.

Let us tell you that Sports Minister Tankaram Verma could not attend this program due to his tour outside the state. He conveyed his best wishes to the players of Raipur Sports Academy through the Sports Director. In the message of the Sports Minister, it was said that International Olympic Day is celebrated on 23 June all over the world. The Sports Department organized this important event for the first time. In future, this event will be organized on a larger scale and all the sports associations of the state, media, senior players and people from the sports world will be connected to this event.

All the officers and employees of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department were present during the International Olympic Day program at Kota Swami Vivekanand Stadium. Sports Director Tanuja Salam congratulated all the officers/employees for the successful event and wished the players all the best.
