India vs England 1st Test: The first match of the five-Test series between India and England is being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. In this match, they were bundled out for just 246 runs in the first innings. However, for India, KL Rahul played a brilliant inning of 86 runs. KL Rahul missed his century by just 14 runs. If KL Rahul had scored a century, he would have equaled a special record of Virat Kohli.

Let us tell you that the first test match of the 5-match series is being played between India and England. On the first day of the match, English captain Ben Stokes won the toss and chose to bat. Team India, thanks to the lethal bowling of the spin trio of R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel and the power of Jasprit Bumrah, restricted England to just 246 runs in the first innings. After the strong performance of the bowlers, Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal suffocated the English bowlers by batting aggressively. After this, KL also scored a strong half-century, but both these batsmen were out after reaching close to the century.

    Would have equaled Virat’s record

KL Rahul, who came to bat for India on January 26, missed coming close to scoring a Test century on this memorable day. On the second day of Hyderabad Test, he completed his half century with the help of 6 fours in 72 balls. After this, KL Rahul played even more aggressively and was out after playing an inning of 86 runs.

KL Rahul missed becoming the second batsman to score a century while playing for India against England on 26 January. On this special day, he would have been the second Indian batsman to do so but he got out while trying to hit a big shot. Virat Kohli played an inning of 116 runs in the Adelaide Test against England in 2012. On January 26, Navjot Singh Sidhu played an inning of 99 runs for India. Sachin Tendulkar has an innings of 96 runs in his name in the Test on this day.
