Sports Desk. Australia has defeated Pakistan (AUS vs PAK) by a huge margin of 360 runs in the first test match played at Perth (Perth Stadium, Perth). Australian batsmen performed well in the match, but the bowlers did not take much time to wrap up both the innings of Pakistan. In this match, Kangaroo team’s fast bowler Mitchell Starc achieved a big achievement. Starc completed his 200 Test wickets on home soil as soon as he dismissed Abdullah Shafique in Pakistan’s second innings. He has become only the third fast bowler and the fifth Australian overall to achieve this feat.

Let us tell you that Starc, a tall left-arm fast bowler, took five wickets in both the innings of the first Test match against Pakistan. Glenn McGrath is at the top among the fast bowlers who have taken the most Test wickets at home for Australia. He has taken 289 wickets on Australian soil. In this matter, Dennis Lillee comes second, who has taken 231 wickets. Apart from these, spin magician Shane Warne has taken 319 wickets on Australian soil while Nathan Lyon has 238 wickets in his name.

Starc is the only left-arm Australian bowler to take 200 Test wickets at home. Talking about cricket history, apart from him, Sri Lankan spinner Rangana Herath has taken 278 wickets on Sri Lankan soil. Let it be known that Starc has been the main fast bowler for Australia in all three formats of cricket for more than a decade. So far he has taken 338 wickets in 83 test matches. So far in his Test career, he has taken five wicket hauls 14 times, while he has also taken 10 wicket hauls in the match twice.
