Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that the dream of a developed India will be realized only when all the states, districts and villages are developed. He also said that the Center has increased the budgetary allocation for railway projects in Chhattisgarh by 20 times in the last nine years compared to the budget given before 2014. Earlier, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of some projects worth Rs 26,000 crore, including the steel plant of NMDC Steel Limited at Nagarnar. This plant has been completed at a cost of more than Rs 23,800 crore. This is a greenfield project plant, where high quality steel will be manufactured.

He said, ‘The dream of developed India will come true only when the states, districts and villages of the country develop. To ensure this, physical, digital and social infrastructure must be compatible with future needs. This is why our government has increased the expenditure on infrastructure to Rs 10 lakh crore in the last nine years.

Highlighting the importance of steel in projects of railways, roads, airports, power projects, transport, houses for the poor and educational and health institutions, the Prime Minister said that in the last 9 years the government has made efforts to make the country self-reliant in steel production. Many steps have been taken for this. Highlighting the inauguration of one of the most modern steel plants in Nagarnar, PM Modi asserted, ‘Chhattisgarh is taking advantage of being a large steel producing state. The steel produced in Bastar will boost defense exports as well as strengthen the armed forces.

The Prime Minister said that the NMDC Steel Limited steel plant at Nagarnar in Bastar district of the state will provide employment opportunities to 50,000 youth of Bastar and surrounding areas and will also accelerate the socio-economic development of the area. This plant will put Bastar on the steel map of the world. Will enter in. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi flagged off the Tadoki (Kanker district)-Raipur DEMU train service through digital medium.
