The market of foldable smartphones is gaining momentum. A new entry is going to come from OnePlus, which is going to launch a foldable flagship smartphone by the name of OnePlus Open. This smartphone has been in the news for the past few weeks. From time to time, the specs and features of ‘OnePlus Open’ are coming out in the form of leaks. Now Digital Chat Station has shared some information about the upcoming OnePlus phone. Digital Chat Station on Chinese social media platform Weibo has reported that OnePlus Open will have a 48MP main camera and a 64MP periscope lens with 3x optical zoom. It is being said that the phone may also have a 48MP ultrawide lens. Not much is known about the telephoto camera yet. This smartphone is going to be launched in India on 19th October. Previous leaks had revealed that the OnePlus Open could have a 7.82-inch OLED inner screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 2,268 x 2,440 pixels. In a post on X (earlier Twitter), the company has informed about the launch of OnePlus Open in Mumbai on October 19. OnePlus has also shown the design of this smartphone through a teaser. It can be made available in Emerald Eclipse and Voyage Black colors. This will be OnePlus’s first phone in the foldable smartphone segment. The design of the smartphone was revealed by YouTuber Lewis Hilsenteger. In the video related to this, information about this was also taken from OnePlus co-founder, Pete Lau. Pete said that OnePlus Open incorporates technology features from OnePlus and Oppo. In this video, the design of OnePlus Open looked quite different compared to other smartphones of the company. It has a metal frame and the display glass on the front reaches till the corner of this frame. The flat design of its front and rear gives it a modern look.
