The name of ‘Mahadev App’ has been in the headlines for the last few weeks. First, the marriage of Saurabh Chandrakar, the kingpin of this betting app, came into discussion. Saurabh had spent more than Rs 200 crore on his marriage. He had invited big names of Bollywood to his wedding and made them dance. And now the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned many people including Shraddha Kapoor, Kapil Sharma, Hina Khan, after actor Ranbir Kapoor. After the Bollywood connection, people’s interest about this app has increased further. Do you know what was the idea behind making this app? What did the creators of this app do earlier? How much was earned daily from this app? Let us know one by one…

Idea of juice and tire seller

Two people are the minds behind Mahadev App. First, Saurabh Chandrakar and second, Ravi Uppal. Both are residents of Chhattisgarh. Saurabh used to run a juice shop in Nehru Nagar, Bhilai. The name of his shop was ‘Juice Factory’. He wanted to become rich as soon as possible. For this, he opened shops named ‘Juice Factory’ in many cities. But perhaps he was not happy with the earnings of those shops. He had the habit of gambling. On the other side, Ravi Uppal had a tire shop. He also had the habit of gambling. Both of them became friends while playing betting.

Everything changed after lockdown

Both Saurabh and Ravi used to play betting offline. Due to Corona epidemic, lockdown was imposed across the country. Due to this both of them were not able to gamble. After this both of them started betting online. The ghost of becoming rich was in the mind of both of them. Both of them thought why not create an online betting app. And this is where ‘Mahadev App’ started. Saurabh and Ravi together created an app and arrangements were made to play online betting there. But this app was different from other apps. Here it was already decided who would win and who was destined to lose. Both the fraudsters laid such a trap that they became owners of crores of rupees.

200 crore rupees started coming every day

Actually, after coming up with the idea, Saurabh and Ravi went to Dubai and there they met a Pakistani citizen. Both of them created ‘Mahadev App’. The ED said that the duo had set up around 4,000 panel operators in India for betting. Each panel had 200 customers who placed bets. From this app he started earning Rs 200 crore daily. A juice and tire seller now started dealing in crores of rupees every day. Both of them used such tricks that within a few months they became owners of twenty thousand crore rupees.

How did you earn so much money?

Customers were added to ‘Mahadev App’ through new websites and chatting apps. For this, Mahadev App was also promoted on social media. This message was sent to the people that more money can be earned in less time through this app. Out of greed, people used to download this app. ED said in its complaint that people could contact the company only through WhatsApp. An employee working in ‘Mahadev App’ used to help the customers in making ID. Customers were given two numbers by the app, from one they used to bet and from the other they could talk to customer care. The accounts in which customers used to send money were fake accounts. The app was designed in such a way that the company never faces any loss. But they were given benefits in the beginning to trap the customers. With this he used to invest more money in betting. This trend was continued for a long time and when the customer invested a huge amount on this app, he would lose. He didn’t even know that he was cheated. And in this way the company started making profits worth crores of rupees.

Saurabh got married in Dubai in February this year. Money was spent like water in the marriage. Saurabh had invited many big Bollywood faces including Sunny Leone, Tiger Shroff, Neha Kakkar to perform. Non-bailable warrants and lookout circulars have been issued against Saurabh and Ravi by the investigating agency. Also, all the big faces involved in his marriage are now on the ED radar. According to the information, Saurabh had given money to film stars through an agency.
