The team’s star all-rounder and vice-captain Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the match against New Zealand due to injury. Now Hardik Pandya will go to NCA for treatment. Hardik got injured while bowling during the match played against Bangladesh, after which he had to leave the over midway and leave the field. Now this is being considered a big blow for the team.

Was injured against Bangladesh

On October 19, in the match played against India and Bangladesh, Hardik Pandya got injured in his heel when he tried to stop the ball with his foot while bowling. After which the medical staff gave him some treatment on the field itself but could not talk to him. After which Hardik had to leave the field. During the match, Pandya was seen sitting in the dressing room, looking at him it seemed that he was not at all ready to bat.

BCCI issued a media advisory saying, “Team India vice-captain Hardik Pandya suffered a left ankle injury while fielding on his own bowling during India’s match against Bangladesh at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. . The all-rounder was taken for scans and has been advised rest. He will remain under the constant monitoring of the BCCI medical team. He will not fly with the team to Dharamshala on October 20 and will now directly join the team in Lucknow where India will play England.”

Hardik Pandya’s exclusion from the match against New Zealand in the World Cup is a big blow for Team India. Hardik is in great form and performs brilliantly for the team with both bat and ball.
