People from Nepal to Delhi-NCR, UP, Uttarakhand and many other states of India were shaken by the earthquake. After the earthquake, people ran out of offices and homes in panic. Actually the epicenter of the earthquake was the western parts of Nepal. On Tuesday, two earthquakes of 5.3 and 6.3 magnitude were felt in Nepal in the afternoon. It is being told that at least 10 people have been injured in earthquake related incidents. The Kathmandu Post newspaper quoted it as saying that the first tremor of the 5.3 magnitude earthquake occurred at 2:40 pm in Bajhang district, located 700 kilometers west of the capital Kathmandu. After this, a second shock of 6.3 magnitude occurred at 3:06 pm.

Six tremors of earthquake felt
According to the National Seismology Centre, after these two tremors, at least six aftershocks of magnitude four to five on the Richter scale were felt in Bajhang district between 3 pm and 5:38 pm. The agency said it was of 5.1 intensity at 3:13 pm, 4.1 at 4.45, 4.1 at 4:28, 4.3 at 4:31, 5 at 5:19 and 5 at 5:38. The tremors were felt in the sparsely populated hilly area.

According to officials, nine people, including four students, were injured in Bajhang district and one person was injured in neighboring Achham district. A student jumped from a two-storey building in panic and got injured. According to the local administration office, a district police office building and several houses were damaged in Bajhang due to the earthquake. An official of the district administration office of Bajhang said, several small tremors were also felt after the earthquake.

Earthquake tremors were felt in the surrounding areas including Achham, Doti, Bajura and Baitadi districts. Tremors were also felt in Kathmandu and neighboring India. In April 2015, Nepal was hit by a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that killed nearly 9,000 people and injured 22,000 others. More than 8,00,000 houses and school buildings were also damaged by this.
