Political activity has intensified in Chhattisgarh. Voting for the assembly elections is to be held in the state in two phases on 7th and 17th November. In such a situation, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda on Sunday targeted the Congress government of Chhattisgarh and said that the state has been under ‘eclipse’ for five years and now the time has come to remove it. Addressing an election rally in Dongargarh assembly constituency of the state, Nadda alleged that Congress always thinks about the welfare of itself or its family and not about the welfare of the public. He said that people have to decide whether they want to elect a government that serves itself or one that serves the people.

Dongargarh is one of the 20 assembly constituencies where voting will be held in the first phase of elections on November 7. Voting on the other 70 seats will be held in the second phase on November 17. JP Nadda said that it is a matter of good fortune for him that he started his first election rally in Chhattisgarh from the holy land of Goddess Maa Bamleshwari.

Dongargarh is famous for Maa Bamleshwari Devi temple situated in the hill. This is the border area of Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. The BJP president said, ‘There is not a single brick or stone laid by the Congress for development in Chhattisgarh. But I can say with confidence that BJP can claim its role on every single brick of development in the state.

JP Nadda said, ‘Congress never thought about the people, it only thought about itself and its family.. Congress (then Madhya Pradesh) had a long series of Chief Ministers, Arjun Singh, Motilal Vora and Shyama Charan. Shukla. There was also a long series of Prime Ministers (in the previous Congress government at the Centre). But Chhattisgarh was given its name by Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Targeting the Bhupesh Baghel government over corruption, JP Nadda said, ‘There was a lunar eclipse on Saturday. Chhattisgarh has been under eclipse for five years and the opportunity has come to remove it. He urged people to support BJP candidate Vinod Khandekar from Dongargarh seat and bring BJP to power in next month’s elections.
