    Agniveer on duty in Siachen dies, Army pays tribute

    Agniveer Dies In Siachen: Army salutes the supreme sacrifice of Agniveer Gavate Akshay Laxman.

    New Delhi:

    One Agniveer died while on duty in Siachen. Army’s Leh-based ‘Fire and Fury Corps’ gave this information on Sunday. Army Chief General Manoj Pandey and all ranks of the force paid tribute to Maharashtra’s Agniveer Gavate Akshay Laxman by condoling his death.

    The reason for the death of Agniveer Gavate Akshay Laxman is not known.

    Siachen Glacier, located at an altitude of about 20,000 feet in the Karakoram mountain range, is known as the world’s highest militarized area, where soldiers have to deal with extreme cold and strong winds.

    However, it is not yet known what caused the death of Agniveer Gavate Akshay Laxman.
