He alleged that he was lacking vital support from the host country due to which he was not able to do his work effectively. The embassy has also said that it has not lived up to the expectations in fulfilling the interests of Afghanistan.

Three embassy officials recently told news agency Reuters that this incident happened after the ambassador and other senior diplomats of the Afghan embassy left India and went to Europe and took refuge in the United States.
