Raipur. To stop the illegal plotting going on in the capital, the Collector has implemented a new system for land registry. People are upset with this new system, while the land mafia is taking advantage of it. The administration had claimed that with the new system of registry, people’s work would be done in five minutes, but it is taking more than an hour for each registry.

To upload property documents in the new system, an ID has to be created in the portal. This ID is generated only when OTP comes on the mobile, but due to various reasons, it takes 1 to 2 hours for the OTP to arrive. Because of this people are facing problems. This is the reason why it is not being fully implemented in Raipur city right now. It has been installed on the computers of only 2 sub-registrars.

Land mafia is taking advantage

The previous government had opened the registry of small plots. Due to this, illegal plotting was going on on a large scale across the state. In this, big land mafias lured the farmers and sold the agricultural land in small pieces. Due to this, more than 400 illegal colonies were formed in the district. After complaining about this to the collector, he filed FIR against 32 people and blocked 1100 cases. Now these gaps are clearly visible in the new software of the registry, which some land mafias have also taken advantage of. Let us tell you that for the last 15 days, registration is being done in SR-4, SR-5, SR-3 of Tilda, Arang and Raipur through the new NGDRS system. The land mafia is benefiting from the negligence in registering the Khasras in this new portal.
