Bhim Nishad, 35, a social worker and founder of Rural Youth Blood Donor Group, resident of Malgaon, says that he had donated blood to his sister for the first time, which saved her life. After this he learned the importance of blood donation. They say that blood donation has been given the status of great donation because your donation can save a person's life. For this, Bhim Nishad, apart from his own village, also continuously makes people of nearby villages aware about donating blood. He himself has donated blood 18 times so far and 25 members of his family also keep donating blood continuously. He told that by joining the group of Gariaband, a total of 2174 donors have donated blood, 1004 in 2022, 840 in 2023 and 330 in the last 3 months.

Providing free blood till the capital

In this village, a group of 100 youths have been continuously engaged in the work of human service by organizing blood donation camps for 3 consecutive years. All the youth here are doing service by joining the Rural Youth Blood Donor Group and Gariaband Blood Donor Group through blood donation camps and continuously donating blood in the District Hospital Gariaband. Malgaon residents organize blood donation camp every year

The villagers of Malgaon say that with the aim that the patients of the area should never die due to lack of blood, they organize blood donation camps from time to time at different places across the district for the last three years. Also, while appealing to the people, every year in the blood donation festival of village Malgaon, youth, citizens, girls and women of all the villages of the surrounding area are inspired to donate blood in large numbers. 81 units of blood were donated in the camp organized in Malgaon in 2022, 85 units in 2023 and 108 units in the camp held on March 17.

Disabled Champeshwar Dhruva sets example for blood donation

Among the people who came to donate blood at the blood donation camp organized in village Malgaon on March 17, 30-year-old Champeshwar Dhruv, resident of village Kas, is disabled in one leg. Gariaband businessman Kanhaiya Rohra, 62, along with his wife Asha Rohra, 58, and son Ritesh Rohra, 35, came to donate blood at the blood donation camp in Malgaon.

Police personnel donated blood while on duty

Gariaband police personnel also reached this blood donation camp in large numbers. During this period, about 11 soldiers donated blood. Most of the soldiers were on duty during blood donation.
