There was panic among the devotees of the famous Bhavani temple of Pantora village of Janjgir-Champa district when the priest of the temple opened the gate of the temple for worship and saw the idols, the jewelery worn for the adornment of Maa Bhavani went missing. Were. As soon as the villagers got information about the theft in the temple, everyone reached the temple and informed the Pantora police about the matter.

After receiving information about the theft incident at Bhavani Temple, the center of people’s faith, Pantora police reached the spot and started investigation with finger print experts and started scanning the footage from the CCTV cameras installed in the temple.

Pantora police inspected the footage of the CCTV camera installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple and at 12:51 in the night, a young man was seen entering the temple by breaking the lock of the temple and by 12:53 the jewelery worn by the idol inside the temple was seized. He is seen cutting it and keeping it in his pants pocket. To hide his identity, the accused had worn a helmet and covered his entire body for years. The police will now reach out to the people with this footage and identify the accused.

Pantora outpost in-charge Dilip Singh said that after receiving information about theft in Bhavani temple, the police team reached the spot and started investigation. The search for the accused has been started from CCTV footage. It is not yet known how much has been stolen from the temple. According to the priest, the goddess was adorned with artificial jewellery.
