Paddy requires more water for Rabi. Due to lack of river and dam for irrigation in Khallari assembly, most of the people do Rabi season farming by relying on bore, but the people of the area are troubled due to low-voltage and power cuts.

Since last 10-15 days, farmers and students are troubled due to low voltage and unannounced power cuts in nearly a dozen villages of Khallari assembly constituency. Farmers have complained about this to the top officials of the electricity department, but till now the farmers have not got relief.

Today, the farmers of Khallari Assembly took out a rally from Baronda Chowk and reached the Collectorate, where they surrounded the Collectorate office and submitted a memorandum to the Collector explaining their problems.
