Sarangarh-Bilaigarh. A case of fraud by farmers has come to light in the district. Where Patwari, in collusion with the accused, registered the land fraudulently and took a loan of Rs 22 lakh from the bank by forging the Net ID. After complaining about the matter and registering a report, the police have arrested an accused. The search for other absconding accused in the case is ongoing.

Applicant Nammu Lal Patel, resident of Devrani village, Birra police station, filed a report on January 17, 2024 that he has a farm of 2.5 acres of land. The accused, Parmanand Karsh, resident of Pavani Bilaigarh and his associates, in connivance with the then Halka Patwari, got the land registered in a fraudulent manner. Not only this, by converting 2.5 acres of land into about 12 acres of land in Net ID, he prepared fake documents by forging B-1 and other documents and took a loan of Rs 22 lakh from HDFC Bank Rajim District Gariaband. In this case, the police have registered a crime under section 420,467,468,471 and started investigation.

Taking the case of fraud seriously, Birra police caught the accused Parmanand Karsh resident Pavani Bilaigarh district Sarangarh from his custody. He was taken into custody and interrogated in connection with the incident, in which he confessed to his crime. The police have arrested the accused and sent him to jail on judicial remand. The police is searching for other absconding accused in the case.
