Raipur. BJP General Secretary Bharat Verma, Ram Ji Bharti and BJP leader Siyaram Sahu have written a letter to former CM Bhupesh Baghel. The letter asks why Bhupesh Baghel is silent on Soumya Chaurasia? Soumya Chaurasia’s bail is being canceled again and again, she has been your deputy secretary, in such a situation how is it possible that you are not involved in this corruption.

The letter said, as you are aware, Soumya Charasia, who was your Deputy Secretary during your regime, has been arrested for the last 16 months and the court has once again rejected her bail plea on April 16, 2024. Soumya Charasia was your Deputy Secretary when you were Chief Minister and has been arrested on serious charges of corruption, in such a situation it is now your moral responsibility to answer the questions being raised by the public regarding this issue. During your Chief Ministership, your Deputy Secretary Did Secretary Soumya Charasia collect money on your orders? How can it be believed that you are not involved in this serious matter of corruption?

When Soumya Charasia was arrested on 2 December 2022, you had loudly said that this arrest was wrong, it was a forced arrest and it was a conspiracy to defame the government. Now that Soumya Charasia is not even getting bail for the last 16 months, then tell the state why you advocated such a serious case of corruption? You break your silence in the matter of your Deputy Secretary Soumya Charasia.

He has said in this letter that these are some questions for which the people of the state want answers from you. I am confident that you will not take my letter otherwise but will answer these questions while respecting the sentiments of the people of the state.
