On India’s 79th Independence Day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy conveyed his wishes and expressed his desire for India to play a role in bringing an end to the conflict with Russia. During a recent detailed discussion with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Zelenskyy discussed important matters concerning bilateral cooperation and the global diplomatic situation. He expressed gratitude for PM Modi’s support and emphasized the significance of international unity. The Ukrainian President mentioned that they agreed to schedule a personal meeting in September at the UN General Assembly, along with arranging reciprocal visits. The dialogue took place amid continuing tensions between Russia and Ukraine. India has been attempting to maintain a neutral position, promoting peaceful resolutions while also maintaining strong relations with both sides of the conflict.
