President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has emphasized the need to use the “language of force” when engaging with Russia, claiming it’s the only language they understand. Speaking via social media, Zelenskyy stated that this approach is essential in all upcoming international discussions.
Zelenskyy is highly anticipating the June summits and vowed to make sure the G7 Summit in Canada and the NATO Summit in the Netherlands are not unproductive. The G7 Summit is scheduled from June 15 to 17, 2025, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to attend.
Zelenskyy also commented on the unsuccessful prisoner of war exchange, which was postponed due to disagreements between the two sides. While Russia blamed Ukraine, Kyiv denied the claims. Zelenskyy assured that Ukraine is working to secure the release of POWs and the return of fallen soldiers. He mentioned that the full lists from Russia for the agreed-upon exchange of over a thousand people have not been provided.
Furthermore, Zelenskyy accused Russia of turning the situation into a political game. He said Ukraine is doing everything it can to keep the exchange efforts moving forward.
