A large-scale Russian missile and drone assault targeted multiple Ukrainian areas on Saturday, causing significant damage and casualties. The attacks claimed the lives of three individuals and injured more than 26 others. President Zelenskyy identified nine regions impacted by the attacks, including Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, and Kharkiv. The Russian forces focused their strikes on essential infrastructure, residential areas, and private establishments.
President Zelenskyy emphasized that these attacks are intended to demoralize the Ukrainian population and dismantle vital infrastructure. He also alluded to a possible meeting with former US President Donald Trump during the upcoming UN General Assembly in New York. Furthermore, conversations between the first ladies of the US and Ukraine are anticipated, with a focus on humanitarian concerns affecting children.
