Starting August 27th, the United States will impose a significant 50% tariff on goods imported from India. This decision is linked to India’s ongoing energy trade with Russia. A notice released by the Department of Homeland Security details the White House’s intention to apply economic sanctions on India through increased import duties. The tariffs will begin at 12:01 am EST on Wednesday.
