The report indicates that vandalism was the most frequently recorded type of incident last year, with 284 cases. The report also documented 55 arson incidents, 14 bomb threats, and 28 cases involving firearms, which is more than double the number in 2023. In addition, 47 events were categorized under other headings. California led the states in 2024 with 40 incidents, followed by Pennsylvania (29), Florida and New York (25-25), Texas (23), and Tennessee and Ohio (19-19).
FRC President Tony Perkins identified the attacks on churches as a sign of deep cultural hostility towards faith. He stated that the report clearly demonstrates that religious freedom is facing serious threats in America today.
