In a rare public statement, Elizaveta Krivonogikh, the woman believed to be Vladimir Putin’s secret daughter, has spoken out about the devastating impact of the war in Ukraine. The 22-year-old, known also as Luiza Rozova, took to social media to express her dismay, though she refrained from directly mentioning Putin by name. She attributed the ruin of her life and the suffering of millions to the actions of a single individual.
Luiza, a fine arts student based in Paris, has previously avoided public commentary. However, she recently posted a cryptic message, expressing a desire to reclaim her identity and highlighting the person she believes is responsible for her current predicament.
Luiza’s origins have been a subject of speculation. Born in 2003 in St. Petersburg, she is widely believed to be the product of a relationship between Putin and Svetlana Krivonogikh. This information became public in 2020 through investigative reports. It was suggested that the sudden wealth of her mother after her birth may have been linked to Putin.
Before the war, Luiza’s social media presence depicted a life of luxury, filled with private jet travel. However, her accounts were deactivated before the conflict began. She has since pursued her studies in Paris, graduating from the ICART School of Cultural and Art Management in June 2024. She has also expressed sadness about her inability to return to her favorite places in St. Petersburg.
Luiza is reportedly employed at art galleries in Paris, including L’Gallery and Espace Albatros, where she is involved in organizing anti-war exhibitions. Her efforts to integrate into the Parisian art scene have met with some resistance.
Artist Nastya Rodionova, who fled Russia in 2022, has publicly distanced herself from the galleries connected to Luiza, arguing that it is inappropriate to be associated with individuals linked to Putin’s regime, given the ongoing war. Luiza responded to criticisms by questioning whether she should be held accountable for the actions of her family.
Gallery manager Dmitry Dolinsky defended Luiza, acknowledging her resemblance to Putin but emphasizing that her skills and work ethic make her a valuable employee. In 2023, the UK sanctioned Luiza’s mother, Svetlana Krivonogikh, who has also been linked to Putin by Russian media.
