During a Thursday address, Russian President Vladimir Putin denounced European leaders, claiming they are contributing to a “war hysteria” and raising fears of a Russian invasion of NATO. Putin rejected the idea of Russia initiating conflict with NATO but warned of a strong response to any hostile actions. He stated that Russia would not attack NATO.
Putin highlighted that Russia has consistently avoided starting military confrontations, but would not exhibit any weakness. He remarked, “Our history has proven that weakness is unacceptable, because it creates temptation-the illusion that some issue with us can be resolved by force. Russia will never show weakness or indecision.”
In related news, the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty between Russia and Iran has officially taken effect, as announced by Russia’s Foreign Ministry.
