The event was marked by confrontations between protestors and law enforcement near Whitehall. As a result of the clashes, 26 police officers were injured, with four suffering severe injuries.
Concurrently, ‘Stand Up to Racism’ staged a counter-protest in Whitehall, attracting 5,000 participants. Police efforts to manage the two groups resulted in violent altercations. Reports indicate that several officers suffered injuries, and numerous arrests were made. Authorities are currently investigating the involvement of additional individuals.
