Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, has strongly criticized Israel’s handling of aid distribution in Gaza, calling it a “cheap form of genocide.” He pointed out the dire situation where Palestinians are forced to choose between starvation and being shot while trying to access food. Khamenei emphasized that a nation suffering from high-cost bombings is now dying in food lines due to low-cost bullets. The UN reports around 800 Palestinian deaths in the past six weeks during aid attempts. Philippe Lazzarini, head of UNRWA, described Gaza as a graveyard for children and the starving, accusing Tel Aviv of a “cruel and Machiavellian scheme to kill.” A UN human rights spokesperson, Ravina Shamdasani, confirmed 798 killings near aid points from May to July 7. Moreover, Israeli soldiers and US contractors have reportedly admitted to shooting unarmed Palestinians seeking food.
