A remarkable incident unfolded on a flight from Kabul to Delhi, where a 13-year-old boy survived an extraordinary ordeal. The boy, mistakenly boarding a KAM Air flight instead of one bound for Iran, concealed himself in the rear wheel well of an Airbus A340. The flight’s duration was approximately 94 minutes, from 8:47 AM departure from Karzai International Airport to 10:20 AM arrival at Indira Gandhi Airport. This method of travel is exceptionally dangerous, due to the lack of oxygen, freezing temperatures, and potential for injury. Captain Mohan Ranganathan, an aviation expert, believes the boy may have found a relatively protected area within the wheel bay. This case mirrors a similar occurrence in 1996, where stowaways attempted a flight from Delhi to London, highlighting the ongoing risks and dangers associated with this practice.
