A viral video captures the distressing scene of an Indian student being apprehended by American officials at Newark Liberty International Airport. The student was handcuffed, pinned to the ground, and ultimately deported. The incident, which involved several officers, including those with their knees on the student’s back, has ignited a firestorm of criticism. The video was first posted by Kunal Jain, an Indian-American entrepreneur, who expressed his dismay and called the situation a ‘human tragedy,’ urging the Indian Embassy to intervene. The Indian Embassy in New York confirmed it was aware of the situation and in communication with the local authorities to address the matter. The student was reportedly heard shouting, “I am not crazy.” A witness who tried to help the student claimed he was prevented from doing so.
