Alnur Musayev, former head of Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee, has asserted that Vladimir Putin possesses compromising videos and documents capable of severely damaging Donald Trump. The claim surfaced ahead of a planned meeting between Trump and Putin in Alaska.
Musayev’s background includes service as an officer in the KGB during the Soviet era. Following the Soviet Union’s dissolution, he led the KNB in Kazakhstan. In February 2025, Musayev made a statement claiming that Trump was recruited as a KGB agent in 1987.
The alleged documents reportedly contain evidence related to sexual crimes against minors and financial dealings tied to Russia, Kazakhstan, and other former Soviet states. These include documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein and videos depicting sexual violence. Musayev claims the FSB holds these documents, and could use them to force Trump to support Russian interests. He suggests Trump could be pressured to undermine NATO and the European Union at the Kremlin’s behest.
Musayev also alleges that Kazakh businessmen provided girls to Epstein’s private island and Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. Tofik Arifov was allegedly the central figure, facing a criminal case in the 1990s which was later dropped following FSB intervention. Three other wealthy Kazakhs were allegedly involved under Russian direction.
In 2013, Trump organized the Miss Universe competition in Moscow, funded by Aras Agalarov, and held at the Crocus City Complex, which Trump identified as a key location in Russia.
Trump and Putin are scheduled to meet in Alaska on August 15. Their last meeting was at the G-20 summit in Japan in 2019. The upcoming meeting in Anchorage will address the Ukraine war, following three unsuccessful negotiation rounds mediated by Trump.
