During the visit, Swami Brahmavihar Dasji expressed his appreciation to Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem. He acknowledged Sulayem’s sustained support, from facilitating stone transportation during the COVID-19 pandemic to backing sustainable initiatives for the temple. He noted that Sulayem’s presence provided strength and inspiration throughout the temple’s development.
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem described the experience as witnessing “an amazing creation.” He acknowledged the significant transformation since his previous visit, highlighting the inspirational location. He recalled the initial stages of construction, with scaffolding and raw materials, contrasting it with the completed structure, including 3D-printed walls and intricate carvings. He emphasized the harmony in the design, noting the welcoming atmosphere and the opportunity for visitors to experience culture, education, and understanding. He underscored the UAE’s tradition of tolerance, tracing its roots to Sheikh Zayed and his successors, and emphasizing how it allows various communities, including Indians, to feel at home.
He described the temple as more than just a building, but a place for the soul. He emphasized the fulfillment of the mind, heart, and soul, and the profound experience of those who visit. He praised the dedication of the service volunteers, noting the unique experience each visit provides. The BAPS Hindu Mandir, inaugurated on February 14, 2024, is the first traditional Hindu temple in the UAE, constructed with sandstone from Rajasthan.
