New Delhi: After the death of three students in Rao IAS Study Circle, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has taken a big action. The MCD has sealed Vikas Divyakirti’s coaching center Drishti IAS. Drishti IAS Center was running in the basement of Vardhman Mall in Nehru Vihar. The coaching center has been sealed for security reasons.
Now the Delhi Municipal Corporation has intensified the inspection of coaching centers. On Monday, the Delhi Municipal Corporation started a sealing campaign in Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi. Many coaching centers that prepare students for the civil service examination are in Mukherjee Nagar.
An MCD official said that action is being taken against the establishments illegally using basements in the area. The official said that later a similar campaign will be launched across the city against the establishments operating illegally from basements. An aspirant studying in a coaching center in Mukherjee Nagar and preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination said that after Saturday’s incident, the libraries of most coaching centers have been closed.
On Sunday, the municipal corporation sealed 13 illegal coaching centres in the area. The police have already sealed Rao IAS Study Circle, where three students died on Saturday.
