Following the devastating blast in Delhi that resulted in 12 fatalities, a video from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) has emerged showing Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists seemingly celebrating. The footage, dated Wednesday, depicts militants honoring their commanders with garlands, raising serious questions about potential connections to the terror incident in India’s capital.
Indian security forces are meticulously examining the video, which captured scenes of apparent jubilation among the LeT operatives. The close proximity of this celebration to the Delhi blast has prompted intensive investigation into whether the group had foreknowledge or was involved in the attack. The Indian government has unequivocally labeled the Delhi event as an act of terror and is committed to swift justice for the victims.
Reports suggest the meeting was convened in Kotli, PoK, with prominent LeT leaders, including Abdul Rauf and Rizwan Hanif, in attendance. Rizwan Hanif, holding the position of deputy chief (Naib Ameer) for LeT’s PoK chapter, is reportedly a significant link between LeT and the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror organization. This connection is particularly relevant as initial investigations into the Delhi blast have pointed towards suspects linked to JeM.
Furthermore, Hanif heads the Hilal-ul-Haq combat brigade, a collaborative effort between LeT and JeM, which operates openly as the People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF). This intelligence further intensifies the focus on the PoK meeting. Investigators hope this gathering will provide vital clues about the perpetrators of the Delhi blast and the broader network orchestrating such attacks across borders.
