In the wake of Israeli actions that significantly impacted Iranian military and nuclear infrastructure, and after US President Donald Trump proposed a ceasefire, Israel has accepted a cessation of hostilities. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office issued a statement expressing thanks to President Trump and the United States for their support and involvement in addressing the Iranian nuclear threat. Simultaneously, the Israeli government cautioned Iran and declared its intent to respond decisively to any ceasefire violations. The statement confirmed Israel’s agreement to the President’s proposed bilateral ceasefire, achieved in full coordination with President Trump, and instructed Israeli citizens to follow IDF Home Front Command guidelines until the ceasefire is fully verified. President Trump, via his ‘Truth Social’ account, confirmed the ceasefire’s implementation. However, reports suggest that both Israel and Iran launched strikes following the formal announcement. Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi stated that military operations to punish Israel for its aggression continued until the very last minute.
