Bangladesh is actively pursuing closer relationships with Muslim nations. They are deepening ties with key advisors like Mohammad Saudi and the UAE, and are enhancing trade and military collaboration with Pakistan. Now, their focus has shifted to another Muslim country. The Bangladeshi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported that Chief Advisor Professor Mohammad Yunus will be traveling to Kuala Lumpur on Monday.
This visit is occurring at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Bangladeshi media sources indicate that Anwar Ibrahim has long been a friend and a supporter of Yunus, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006.
Bangladesh and Malaysia are expected to engage in high-level discussions in Putrajaya on Tuesday. These talks will aim to reinforce bilateral relations and foster cooperation in a variety of sectors, including trade, investment, and labor.
