During a meeting between Bangladesh’s Foreign Advisor and Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, several issues were discussed, including the demand for an apology for the 1971 war. While the specifics of the discussions were not fully aligned, both sides presented their stances on the matter.
M. Touhid Hossain, Foreign Advisor to the interim government of Bangladesh, noted that the unresolved matters, such as the apology, property claims, and the issue of stranded Pakistani citizens, would be the subject of ongoing discussions between the two countries. Several agreements and memoranda of understanding (MOUs) were signed during the meeting, aiming to advance bilateral relations through dialogue and addressing historical issues.
