A poignant moment was captured aboard the International Space Station (ISS) as Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, a participant in the Axiom-4 mission, shared a meal with his fellow astronauts. This event occurred just days before Shukla’s anticipated return to Earth on July 14. Astronaut Jonny Kim documented the gathering with photos, showcasing Shukla enjoying a meal in microgravity. The Axiom-4 mission commenced on June 25 from Florida’s Kennedy Space Center, with the spacecraft reaching the ISS on June 26. Over the course of the mission, the crew completed roughly 230 orbits around Earth, traveling a distance of approximately one crore kilometers. NASA managed temperature regulation during the ‘high beta period,’ when the ISS was continuously exposed to sunlight. This special meal highlighted the unique experiences of astronauts in representing humanity in space.
