The White House has unveiled its Presidential Walk of Fame, featuring a notable alteration: former President Joe Biden’s portrait has been replaced with a picture of an autopen. An autopen is a device used to automate signatures. Trump has frequently criticized Biden for allegedly using an autopen to sign documents, particularly pardons and executive orders. This action is seen as another jab at Biden, underscoring existing tensions.
The display, located in the West Wing Colonnade, shows the portraits of all U.S. presidents in golden frames. Trump’s communications advisor Margo Martin shared a video of the display on X, prompting immediate reaction. Trump has repeatedly implied, without offering proof, that Biden’s use of an autopen was a means to hide health issues. In an interview, Trump noted the autopen’s presence in the display. The White House also released a photo of Trump looking at the display. Trump’s portraits are placed on either side of the autopen image, one from his 45th and another from his 47th term. Attendees at a Rose Garden dinner on Wednesday will be able to view this exhibit.
