Albania has taken a pioneering step by appointing an AI Minister to tackle corruption within its government. This move makes Albania the first nation globally to introduce a virtual minister. The AI minister, named Diela, translates to ‘sun.’
Prime Minister Edi Rama revealed that Diela will be a virtual member of the cabinet, designed using AI. The main objective of this AI-generated bot is to make certain government contracts are completely free from corruption. This will provide enhanced transparency. The National Agency for Information Society in Albania confirms that Diela will use advanced AI models and techniques to execute her duties.
