Won’t let your unemployment end, PM Modi tells Opposition. BJP MPs love itFebruary 6, 2020
Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Opposition MPs his government wouldn’t help them out of “unemployment” during a Thursday speech in the Lok Sabha that was rich in attacks on his rivals.
“There’s one thing we won’t do, or won’t let happen. [Ek kaam na karenge. Na hone denge.]. That is, we won’t let your unemployement end [Vo hai, aap ki berozgari nahin hatne denge],” PM Modi said, much to the enjoyment of MPs in the treasury benches.
PM Modi was delivering the motion of thanks on the President’s Address to Parliament during the Budget Session.
The President made his speech on January 31, and the budget speech was delivered by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman the following day.
Later in his speech, PM Modi responded to recent comments made by Rahul Gandhi, the former Congress president, who warned him that young people would hit him with sticks if he didn’t address unemployment.
